Unit 3: Digestive System


Digestion involves mixing food with digestive juices, moving it through the digestive tract, and breaking down large molecules of food into smaller molecules. Digestion begins in the mouth, when you chew and swallow, and is completed in the small intestine.
Some of the skills students will be practicing within this unit include:  predicting outcomes, designing and carrying out experiments, measuring accurately, reporting and analyzing data, debating issues, communicating within a group, and researching a scientific topic.
