Science News for Students recently published "For a python, every meal is like Thanksgiving" and John selected this article for his Current Event presentation last week.
John told us that the article explained how Burmese Pythons that live in the wild will eat animals as large as deer and alligators for food. He did a fantastic job connecting the story to our last unit (Digestion: secreting digestive acid and enzymes) and our current unit (Circulatory: increased heart rate and blood flow to the stomach while enjoying this very large meal!).
