Bobwhite Quail in our Classroom

While we wait for our baby chicks to hatch this year, enjoy these photos taken of the quail that hatched in our classroom last year!
Waiting for the eggs to finish incubating.

When the chicks hatched they needed some time to rest and dry.

After they dry, they begin to chirp and move around the incubator.

Baby Bobwhite chicks need to be removed from the incubator
and moved into a heated brooding box.

We will have the opportunity to get close to the chicks before they are brought over to
Caleb Smith State Park to continue to be raised until
they are old enough to be released in early July.

More information about the Quail Release Event will be posted
as soon as it becomes finalized.
We will all be invited to the celebration!
