Science Quiz - Friday, 9/25

Our next science quiz will be this Friday, September 25th and will include material you have learned in class since the first day of school.    Topics include: Lab Safety, Metric Measurement, and Scientific Method.  

General Study Guide:
1. Lab Safety

Examples:

-Protecting your eyes, skin, hair, clothing

-Always follow teacher instructions during labs and during cleanup

-Let your teacher know about safety concerns 

-No horseplay in the science lab

2. Metric Measurement 

Examples:

-Be ready to use a metric ruler to determine the length of an object or line, or to accurately create a line to a specific Metric length

-Be ready to convert from cm to mm, or mm to cm

Remember:    to convert from cm to mm, multiply the cm length by ten

                       to convert from mm to cm, divide the mm length by ten

3. Scientific Method

Examples:

-Study the steps of Scientific Method, in the correct order

-Know the all of the vocabulary terms involved in scientific experiments
