Chemistry Test #2: Thursday, April 2nd

All-Star students will take the Chemistry Unit Test on Thursday, April 2nd. This test is worth 100 points and will contain cumulative questions from Chemistry Part 1, as well as from previous units we have studied this year.  Please bring a #2 pencil with you to class.  A scantron will be used to record your answers to this Test.

The following is a list of some of the curriculum topics included in our study of Chemistry during this unit.  Please use it as a guide to help you prepare for the test, although you should study all of the material in your binder to be best prepared.

Chemistry Part 1 Study Guide Topics:
- States of matter and examples of each state
- Law of Conservation of Matter
- Chemistry Vocabulary: volume, mass, density, etc.
- Calculating Density (formula D=m/v)
- Density of water, Density column
- Estimating Density using % under water skills
- Physical and Chemical properties/changes

Chemistry Part 2 Study Guide Topics:
-Atoms
-Organization of the Periodic Table
-Metals/Non-Metals/Metalloids
-Counting Elements and Atoms
-Electron Shells and How Compounds Form
-Chemistry Webquest Topics (Bonding, Electron Shells, etc)
-Types of Reactions and Rates of Reactions
-Solutions and Solubility (lab manual pgs 40 - 44)
