Students
should study all of the Chemistry material in their binder since the
start of the unit on February 15th.
This includes notes, do nows, homework assignments, labs, lab pages, and
handouts. If you have been absent from school it is your responsibility to make
up the work you have missed. It will be
included on the test.
Study Guide:
-States of Matter (3 types and properties of each)
-Law of Conservation of Matter
- Density (Calculating, Estimating Density using % under water, does changing the size of an item change its density?)
-Physical and Chemical Changes
-Periodic Table (using the laminated Periodic Tables in our classroom to find an element based upon its Period, Group, and Family name)
-Metals/Non-Metals
-Electron Shell Diagrams (Drawing them accurately, determining if an element is stable or not)
-Counting/Identifying atoms and elements in compounds
-Types of Chemical Reactions
-Factors that change the Rate of a Reaction
-Interpreting Solubility
-Chemistry Vocabulary (copied into your binder during this unit, plus the terms on page 40 in your lab manual)
